Provide Engineering pre-sales & technical leadership to my client’s Unified Communications Practice. Their UCP’s based primarily on Cisco’s Unified Communications product suite, is focused on planning, designing, implementing, & managing VOIP & other converged communications solutions for our clients.

Required Technical & Work Experience

  • 8+ years hands on experience planning, designing, & implementing Cisco’s UC product line, including Unified Communications Manager, Communications Manager Express, Unity, Unity Express, Unity Connection, Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX), Unified Presence Server & Communicator, & MeetingPlace Express.
  • Experience designing & implementing complex, multisite voice deployments
  • Expertise using Cisco tools to develop a project Bill of Materials, including proper software licensing, is required
  • Expertise with communications protocols such as H323 / SIP / MGCP / SCCP
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills

Desired Technical & Work Experience

  • Expertise with related vendor technologies, such as AdTran & Tandberg
  • Expertise integrating Cisco solutions with other vendor products such as overhead paging systems
  • Experience with Unified Contact Center Enterprise
  • Contact Center scripting experience
  • Consulting experience is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience with a technology vendor or systems integrator selling, designing, & implementing Cisco voice systems & solutions

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary sales engineer for Unified Communications practice
  • Work with sales team to develop opportunities with new & existing clients
  • Lead technical sessions with clients to discover requirements & develop solutions
  • Prepare project proposals including Bill of Materials, Engineering Professional Services Estimate, & Statement of Work
  • Present solutions to clients
  • Participate as a “hands-on” engineer on project deployments
  • Mentor & develop junior engineers
  • Maintain & develop relationships with clients & vendor partners such as Cisco
  • Evaluate & recommend new technologies
  • Maintain technical certifications as required


  • CCVP certification required
  • CCIE voice preferred
  • Four-year degree preferred
  • Hands-on experience required
